have a 1992 richard petty 3.4 gp engine locked up,also have a 1996 3.4 gtp will the engines swap out and if so how much trouble would it be?

I'm pretty sure it will not work. '96 is the year OBDII came out so all the sensors are going to be different etc.
on a side note...I've never heard of this edition of the GP. Just did a search, fairly interesting. only 1000 made!?

Unless he would want to convert his car to OBD2, which could be rather labor intensive.
I am not sure if the motors could just pe swapped and use all the existing OBD1 sensors on the old moter or not.
