Axles on Jeep Cherokee
What kind of rear axle is on the 1994 jeep cherokee countrys.

You either have a Dana 35C, or a Chrysler 8.25 (27-spline)
The Dana's differential housing is round. The 8.25 has a definite flat spot at the bottom of the housing, and looks like this (click) I have a Dana 35 and have never had a moments trouble with it. But the 8.25 is a slightly stronger unit. Last edited by MagicRat; 12-29-2009 at 10:35 PM. |
