Re: 94 saturn sl1 hard hesitation
Let me put just a little more with this after I changed the pcm it ran great for about 30 miles then had an occasional sputter for another 30 miles then it ran like crap.. it seems to just quit but my tach does not change or does it backfire...then I read some posts about the cooling sensor..changed it.. same thing ran great for the day..went to start it up in the am (cold morning) ran like crap again???? very frustrating

Re: 94 saturn sl1 hard hesitation
PCM rarely fail on these cars.
Did you replace the ECTS with the two wire connector? This is the important one. Last time you changed the plugs/wires? They should be NGK Coppers. Also check down the wells before you replace the plugs and see if there is oil down them. If so, replace the valve cover gasket also.
