2001 Blazer 4x4 vacuum leak?
Recently our 2001 4x4 Blazer with AUTOTRAC started making a noise that sounds like a vacuum leak to me. When warm and brakes applied coasting to a stop the noise begins. The noise remains no matter what gear, whether brake pedal is released or held down. Noise quits as soon as power is applied to leave from stop and remains gone until scenario is repeated. Begining this morning my wife noticed a flashing 4 Lo light and found that the vehicle will not remain IN 4x4 or AUTOTRAC for more than a few seconds then returns to 2 Hi. My gut is telling me that I'm leakin too much vacuum to hold hubs and 4x4 system engaged. The noise is coming from down low I think near the tranny/transfer case. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Re: 2001 Blazer 4x4 vacuum leak?
There is a vacuum switch mounted on top of the transfer case that may have broke or you have a broken line. Those switches were know for going bad.
