Abs Brake Question...

I had asked this question on the mountaineer forum...Rod was nice a nuff to get back to me with waht he knew...so i thought i'd come here...i just did ASK a FORD mechanic...and got nothing for the cash i laid out..NO REPLY,.here is the problem...has gotten a little worse since i posted it....when i'm on icy roads or snow covered roads as we have had and i hit the BRAKES.as long as my foot is on the BRAKES i have a squeel from under the dash...like from some type of buzzer???????????? when i let off it stops...when i hit the BRAKES and the ABS is activated..i get the squeel....but not on dry paynment or rain wet roads...only on slippery raods and ABS is then activated.....

any clues....thanks...THIS IS A 1998 MOUNTAINEER AWD V8

wayne.SORRY DOUBLE POST..DON'T KNOW HOW IT HAPPENED

Re: Abs Brake Question...

Does it just do it when you hit your breaks, or have you noticed it when you turn your hazards on??
