What difficulty level do you play GH3 on?
What the title says? I can get 5 stars on everything on medium. I can beat all but the last 8 songs on hard. Only with 3 stars.

They have said that people who actually play guitar will have a harder time with guitar hero as opposed to those who have never picked up a real guitar in life... I find it interesting that I can't play it on anything higher than medium because it's such a simple concept. You only have 5 freakin frets to deal with and 1 string. It doesn't get much easier than that, but yet it seems like I can't jump around enough for it... Maybe that is the problem. Too much jumping around in too short of a time frame... Who knows...

I actually haven't played it in awhile, but I was consistent on medium. Started playing it on hard, and then life got busy so I haven't had time to play anymore. And I've only played the third one once, but I have beaten the first 2 on medium, if that counts for anything.

And to make the whole GH vs a real guitar fair, people who play GH a lot and have never picked up a real guitar might not be very talented with a real guitar. I know I probably wouldn't be.

Actually, they added the feature to GH3 that you can choose between guitar or bass parts...

I know this kinda late to post but at least I'm still here. Ok I play most of the songs on expert maybe 98% and that gh1, 2, 3, rock the 80s, and metallica. And actually my gf I'll admit she plays better on hard but since she plays it as if she is playing the bass (strumming up) she is getting better on expert.
