Re: wont rev past 4,000???

Welcome to AF.

When was the last tuneup? Also, have the CAT converter checked out. One symptom is no power around 4K rpms and up.

Yeah getting beat by a Dodge Stratus R/T is bad especially since you have a GTP.

Are you getting boost indicated on the arc-bar graph when the power is down?

I second Bob, Check the Cat Converter. Then rent a fuel pressure guage and check fuel pressure.

Here is a good one. Subject: moron with a Dodge Stratus R/T. Be sure to check out the police chase video in its entirety. Good laugh!

Remove the plastic engine cover. Towards the supercharger snout (passenger side) on the front fuel rail you will see a Schrader valve by the fuel pressure regulator. Connect an automotive fuel pressure tester there.

NICE!!!!!... Moron got what he deserved! He's lucky he didnt kill anyone.

What about the transmission in a stratus r/t? "5 speed manual or sluch-o-matic" Is that for real what its called? "slush-o-matic"? HAHA!

If you check the specs on this car it is really surprising. It is really not a Chrysler but a Mitsubishi Eclipse. This was made for Chrysler in Illinois by Mitsubishi and totally dissimilar to the regular Stratus lineup. The engine is a 3.0L V6 24 valve and a 5 speed manual was available for the V6. Around '04 and up the hp was increased to around 225. No turbocharger stock for U.S. production but plenty of mods are available for this engine.

The bottom line is even with a GTP if you are not careful during a race you could be in for a rude awakening.
