Car pulling to left

97 grand prix gt 112k. Driving home on a two lane highway tonight I noticed that my car would start pulling to the left after about 2 seconds. It would pull into the entire other lane in 10 seconds if I took my hand of the sterring wheel. Is this a big deal, whats going on?

Also my steering wheel in a normal position is at approx. 2 degrees to the left. I also just got the tires rotated about 3 weeks ago, could all of this be from the tire rotation. It wasn't this bad before the rotation.

Re: Car pulling to left

Did the shop mention any wear on the tires from the front? Its possible you have an alignment issue and had tire wear that caused the car to track straight for the most part until the rear tires were moved to the front and now you have more tread on the road on the front now causing the more noticeable pull. I would take the car in and have the alignment checked. Good luck.

Re: Car pulling to left

yes your tire could have a radial pull which happens, you cant feel it on the rear put you can on the front you can rotate them back one side at a time to identify the bad tire. but first of all make sure you have proper air inflation in all 4 tires. if the left front is low or the right front is over inflated you found the problem.check the back ones too. you will find the proper tire inflation on the door placard(a little sticker in the door jamb of the drivers door usaully)

Also make sure that the tires are inflated to the proper pressure. If the left side is under inflated it will pull to the left. I do not think that it is a hazzard, it is still safe to drive. That is how I can tell that the front tires need pressure.
