1991 s-15 starts then dies

got a 1991 s-15 jimmy with the 4.3. truck starts then dies. only way to keep running is to feather the gas pedal rapidly. Replaces fuel filter, fuel pressure reg, tried new tps, new plugs cap and roter and tried new control module. need serious help to get this vehicle running. any help appreciated

Any codes or check engine lights?
Is it losing spark or fuel pressure?

check engine comes on after running for couple min. gives a code 24 which book says is vss. also says disregard if not in motion.

been inable to test fuel or spark as been raining. know the butterflies in carb appear wet from fuel.

Butteryfles wet from fuel is normal.
Make sure it is not losing fuel or spark.
Check base timing.
Check voltage on TPS sensor and coolant sensor reading to computer.
Good AC delco cap and rotor and ac plugs?

Plug and coil wire good?
And good hot spark to all plugs when running?
Has Computer been tested for break in circuit board?
Like tap or twist test?

How did you find the problem?

tried everything from new tps, map sensor etc. finally broke down and did the loan a tool and got a fuel pressure tester. got a reading of 0. spent alot of time buying parts trying and returning (autozone does not like this lol) and sitting in the isle reading the chiltons.

Proper testing saves you throwing parts at it.

First check for good hot blue spark to all plugs when it does it.

You hve to have spark to get the fuel pump fired up.

To test fuel pump jumper it with a fused 12 volt jumper wire and see if it runs and puts out pressure.
