02 window problem

02 Lesabre custom, 110k

The drivers window goes down when you turn ignition switch on. Have to monkey with the switch to get back up.

I haven't looked at it yet but I am thinking a faulty master window switch.

Is this a common problem on these vehicles?? (Friends Car)

thanks for any input

Re: 02 window problem

In the window department the most common problem is the motor/cable system. Bad switches are no more common than any other car. I had this happen to a similar car and I was able to switch the driver and passenger leads at the switch so the drives window worked well unit I purchased a replacement.
