datsun...?
datsun and nissan, how are they related? (i didnt see this question in the faqs) i know the 300z is nissan and the 280z is ... uh datsun.. i don't get it are they the same thing?
and also 270r, what is that? i saw it somewhere in the forums and it is just like the 240, what is the differencE? and 200sx, don't that car have its own category? how come somepeople have 200's that looks just like 240s? sorry for asking so much,  if any of these were answered in the faqs, i am sorry, just answer the one's that weren't answered in the faq... i did read the faq, and i didn't see any of these answers.. so.....

datsun = nissan.
they were changed in like the early 80's or late 80's i cant remember. they just changed, thats all i guess. as for the 270r, its a nismo enhanced silvia s14. 200sx is the same as a s14 240sx, but wiht the sr20det engine already equipped. and i answered only cause #1, i dont think its in the faq either. #2, u claim to own a Altezza.

The Nissan Motor Corporation marketed vehicles in many countries under the Datsun brand. Datsun dates back to the 1930s, before the company was known as Nissan. In the 1980s, it was decided that "Nissan" would be the brand name in all markets. From 1982 to 1985 in the US, each Datsun model was replaced by a Nissan-branded vehicle. Today, Nissan sells a Datsun pickup in Japan, but that's about all that's left of the Datsun brand.

datsun is what nissan of japan named nissan of america when they released the 510 and the later Z's. the reason for this is because nissan of america wanted to go road racing and compete against bmw and alfa romeo. nissan of japan had no faith and figured that the 510 is no match for its european rivals. so in order to save their name from potential himulation, they changed the name to datsun. and as for 200sx. the 200sx is what the austrailians and the europeans call the silvia. nissan has a way of naming cars from their displacement size. since hte euro spec silvia also has a SR20DET and a SR is a 2.0 liter engine. so they call it a 200sx. just like how we got 2 different 200sx's in the states. one is from a S12 chassis and the others are from the B14 sentras with the SR motor.
