Finished: Skyline R32 GT-R

Kit:Tamiya sports car series NO.90 Nissan Skyline GT-R
Paint: Tamiya TS-38 Gun Metal.
Wheels: Aoshima Gram Lights, D1 Grand Prix series (17inch?)

This was a fun build. Tamiya really knows how to make a well fitting kit. The only issues that I ran into was the power steering booster not seating correctly, and the front wipers hitting the underside of the hood. Other than that, flawless fitment on Tamiya's part.

Lowering it was fairly easy too. I made the interior capsule sit lower on the chassis, then seated to body about 2mm lower on the chassis in the rear. Gave it a nice stance.

Nice work, I think gun grey was the best colour for the R32. Looks very good all around, just looks a little odd without the factory spoiler.

Thank you for the comment. I'm not a huge fan of spoilers on trunks, unless its a lip spoiler.

I rarely see R32s without spoilers, it's a cool change from the usual.

Ive always thought R32s would look better without the spoiler, & they do, your model looks fantastic!! Love the colour & the wheels suit it aswell!!! Great Work!!

Re: Finished: Skyline R32 GT-R

lovely build!
as I've said before I'm a fan of your style,
and subtle kit enhancements such as the
steering wheel and Carbon bits of the interior
really stand out and give the model character.

Great stance, and great photography.
This is what car modeling is to me.

Yep looks good. Nice to see a lowering that did nt result in the car dragging it's backside along the ground.

Thank you.

I brushed white glue onto it, dipped it in superfine flocking, then as the glue was curing I mashed it down with my fingers in an attempt to get that alcantara rally/race wheel look. Then just painted it once it dried. Make sure you use super flat paint.

Re: Finished: Skyline R32 GT-R

I perfer these with the stock wing. Overall a clean model. I also think different color wheels would look nicer, but that is just my opinion. Thanks for sharing.
