2000 seat heater
2000 Blazer LT 4wd 4dr
Driver's seat heater not functional. Power going to switch. Are parts available? Is a replacement seat available? If yes to any of the above, any ideas about where to look would be appreciated. |

Always check for 12 violts on both sides of all fuses and grounds. Check for 12 volts to orange wire to seat module. If 12 volts hook test light between orange and black wire. If test light lights there with ket on hit high switch and check for pink wire to seat/module for 12 volts. Are you getting 12 volts on pink wire to seat? Post back what you find there.

I don't know if you know but, there are several plugs that link the seat heaters, some small orange ones that form the circuit. The seats have 3 pads and the seat back 2. Now, I don't know if one of those comes unplugged if it would cause the whole system to stop working or if a break in one would do the same. Or it could be a simple as a broken wire. Just a thought. Junk yard seats, would be the cheapest to replace them.

Re: 2000 seat heater
I have the same year truck... and just as an FYI ... my drivers side seat heater, does not always work, its intermittent ... I have found it always works the second time I start the truck, so if I start it drive stop get gas when I restart it the seat heater works?
Any idea why this might only work every second start. |
