First of all I have a 98 Venture. I was doubled parked one day and had my 4-way flashers on. I got in and started driving and noticed I forgot to turn off my 4-way flashers. As I was driving, I hit the flasher button, then all of a sudden my horn started going off. With the flashers off, the horn keeps sounding, but with the flashers on, the horn sounds on and off. Has anyone else had this problem? Is this a alarm system that I didn't know I had? BTW, I got the Venture used. I don't have the owners manual for it. Can anyone please help me here? Thanks!

Re: Help!!!!
Somehow there are some relays conflicting with each other. Your body control module controls all of these functions, but I highly doubt that is the problem. Check under your dash and see if someone installed an aftermarket car alarm system. It will be a black box where all the wires coming out of it are spliced into other wires. The box is probably mounted horribly also. Probably by plastic ties. Are your keyless remotes factory looking or aftermarket such as bulldog, viper, or some other company? If you do find an aftermarket alarm system, there is probably a fuse blown somewhere or a relay bad. It sounds weird, but I have seen a car do this because there was a fuse blown for the lights and it acted wierd due to getting power from something else being fed through. If you do have an aftermarket system, you should run down every wire and check the relays the company added on, and check the fuses. Some companies really mess up your car when they install these. I have seen an install in a Pontiac Sunfire where they added 6 relays and taped them together and hid them under the top cover of the dash. This was done at a pro shop too. Check everything and good luck.
