ABS Brake line order

I had to replace a rear rusted brake line. I noticed that the brake lines are newer coming off the abs. I'm thinking 2 of them maybe be swapped, does anyone know the order coming off the abs. Do i need to be concerned swapping lining on the abs if air gets in the abs?

hi what do you mean swapping. the thing that you have to be concerned with is not to drain your abs or you need special scanner to bleed that part of the system.

Same ? what do you mean by swapping lines. I do't live in an area were rust is a issue I thought the lines where contineous. Also what year is your buick Don't know about the newer ones but I didn't need any special tools last year when I put a working ABS unit in my car. I just bleed the brake lines. But each outlet out of the ABS unit is specified to a certian brake line. You wouldn't want the ABS unit functioning on the wrong brake. Its an old thread on hear with a a ABS diagram in the century forum that shows the outlets for each brake.

hi i just did my rear line rust. check this out go to popularmechanics.com on how to bleed brakes, some abs units have bleeder bolts and some you need special scaner to cycle the pumps and valves.fotunatly i din't need one either, the way it is design the lines come from the bottom of abs controller on my 1998 lesabre and then all the lines come up higher then the abs unit so that they act like a trap (abs full of fluid)if i were to change the lines out from the bottom of unit air would get in the abs controller and then i would need the scanner.how did you bleed your abs controller.

Re: ABS Brake line order

Have the same frame and body style (somewhat) as you. So its in the same place just more than likely a different units. I just bleed my brakes thru the brake lines with a vaccum bleeder and that was it.
