Kit Question

An almost pointless question because the kit is long out of production and not likely to ever see the light of day but....

Does anyone here have a Doyusha Nostalgic Heroes Celica LB 2000 GT (1975)?

I've only ever seen pictures of it on the little leaflet that they have in some of their kits and it is shown with an open front bonnet and complete with some sort of engine detail.

Did this kit actually have engine detail or is that a mocked up publicity shot?
Is there actually any chance in hell that one could one of these kits these days?

For anyone who has one, could you post some photos?

Re: Kit Question

After a hell of a lot of digging and a resigned buying of another kit from the same Nostalgic Heroes range I have found an answer.

For those interested:
They appear to all be curbside kits meant for motorising.
Some of them, as the 2000GT Celica does, do indeed have opening bonnets and sometimes opening rear hatches too.
These kits have some under bonnet detail by way of a very primitive top part engine piece. The interiors of the kits also aren't that great and the chassis is although pretty good looking, is redered useless because of the batter housing opening.

It's a shame really because they have some really good looking classic Japanese car bodies.

The search for an 18R engine continues....

EDIT:

and in case anyone's interested in what I got, let me introduce the Nissan... No.... Datsun Sunny Excellent 1400 GX.

Crappy engine detail insert.

Crappy interior seats.

And yes, if you spotted that there aren't any door panels, that would be because there aren't any.

Again, such a shame because the Nostalgic Heroes range had some wonderful little things like these:

Cherry X1-R

Subaru Leone Coupe

Nissan Bluebird U HT
(photo is of a built model)

Datsun Violet

Mistubishi Lancer Celeste

and many other cool cars that won't be re-tooled to modern standards.
