2003 Galant LOUD CLICKING!!!

There is a loud clicking sound coming out from behind the dash. The engine doesn't have to be on to hear it, but the ignition switch needs to be turned to the run position. However, when the car is started, the clicking comes more rapidly. I took the whole bottom part of my dash off, but I still can't locate the source of the noise. It appears to be coming from behind where the radion and air control knobs are located, but I don't know what it is! Someone please help! Any suggestions would be great. This has been driving me crazy for over a week now! I don't want to mess around near the air bags unless I absolutely have to, that's why I stoppped with the bottom of the dash. Please help!!!

Okay, I found it! After 1 1/2 weeks, it was a hidden relay involving the air control, so ignore all of my threads!

Re: 2003 Galant LOUD CLICKING!!!

My car started doing this yesterday so I was glad to read this post. I thought it was the passenger side airbag because the noise seemed to be coming from that area. I quickly fixed the problem. I wonder how common it is? My Galant is a 1995.

We just hit the air recycling button again so that the fan, motor or whatever it is turned off. That fixed the problem for us. If you press the button; it starts right back up again.
