I believe that everything is solid state now for the 98 and up.
I have a wiring diagram for that year if it helps. ill fax it if ya send me a number. but from looking at it with the problem you described, I' can't tell the issue. F bodys are very goofy when if comes to the chassis wiring, especially the grounds. Are your tail laight fine? signals? voltage, appropriate amperage supplied to area? |

Re: 98 trans am electrical
If you could fax wiring diagram to 765-474-7114 I would appreciate it. The left taillight is dim also but everything else is fine.

I/we just "adopted" a 1998 Trans Am. We'll be doing something asap with it's remote start/entry system because the remote we got with it's keys was/is a POS. We need to know asap how to at a minimum disarm the security system until we decide which way to go on the remote. Is there a specific fuse we can remove that won't mess up any other functions on the car?
