is this the highest quality vc gasket they make for our cars? felpro?

VC gaskets aren't worth worrying about brand. Make sure to replace the plug-well and half-moon gaskets. Some kits do not include these.

Agreed. Valve cover gasket really have no pressure so brands are not important. I have a full Felpro gasket set on my car right now, and I believe the HG is too at the moment.

but um, guess you dont have to, but it comes with the vc gasket, and also the spark plug tube seals...thats all i need right? i can do it all myself, gotta haynes manual and all, gotta find it lol...

Oh yeah I am, just using the sites pics as references...

I don't really need help installing it bc its a no brainer, but, I did have one other question which is relative...

Ive been wanting to replace the camshafts...its pretty much all I want to do to the head, nothing wild, just a mild upgrade...and I thought, well if im doing the vcg, I can do all this at once. My question is, ive never installed aftermarket cams, ive only replaced oem ones in class...I know how to do it, but, is there anything special I need to know about dropping in aftermarket cams? Like, do they just drop in, bolt up, and the car will run just like b4, or does it require any extra special tuning...

It just bolts right in. But remember you have to pull the timing belt off in order to remove the cams.

i cant decide which is right for me? light track, mostly street, and for a car that prob. will stop being upgraded after around 400hp...

im not fluent in camshaft lol...

hey when changing cam gears...is it necessary to take off the entire timing belt...or just slip it off the two gears..in other words...remove every other thing in its way to get to it?

also, does having a "high performance'' timing belt make any difference?

I saw on a forum for ford focuses(google took me there) if you remove the belt completely, you have to do all this extra work, when if all your doing is changing the gears, you can just slip it off...is this the same for our cars? is it a pain in the arse?

im not sure if you can just slip the belt off. Its under a lot of tension so I dont think you can. Seems to me the tensioner would have to be pulled and then timing reset. As for the cams it depends on what you want to do. Bigger cams make the car harder the drive. My Crower Stage 2 lost power in the low end power band. It also depends on if youre upgrading anything else in the head like the springs.

i know with the camshaft im looking at getting...it says it has to have the springs and retainers upgraded...

so, you dont htink i need to even change the cam gears for the purpose of only seeing 400 hp?

Changing out cam gears will do absolutely nothing if you don't know how to adjust them properly.
