dash lights
Hi everyone. I have a 1998 buick regal for the past few months ive had the service vehicle soon light, brake light, tracc off light and anti lock light on. Took it to run a diagnostic test and they found two current codes c1251= Stripped gears in hydraulic assembly and c1286= cause of code c1251. My question is if its the gears in the assembly can i rebuild it or do i have to buy the whole abs motor pack, and if so where can i get it for a decent price..

Re: dash lights
Never had occasion to tear one down, as the internals looked to be a lil complex by the techie manuals I have and if it's a motor pack/gearing failure, more than likely it will look as though a hand grenade has gone off inside of the unit. If you're an Ebay junkie like me, there's a supplier out of Ohio who specializes in late model GM 3.8L powered cars and is fair on their pricing and shipping. Name of Ebay 'store' is Morad Parts Company. I've done a significant amount of business with them and have always been pleased with the product. They'll most likely have multiple units on hand.
