1989 Dodge Spirit bucking and jerking, black smoke, bad smell, really need help here!

Alright this is the first time I have ever posted in any forums, so hope this works!

I bought a 1989 2.5L (no turbo) Dodge Spirit 3 years ago for $800 and 163,000km were on it at the time. It's been very very reliable and I have put on 45,000km in that time. Only did a few things to it. Changed the radiator, and power steering rack plus other miner things. It's been a great car and still runs great. Here is my problem

In the winter when tempuratures got a lot colder my car started idling lower (around 600) It also wouldn't start all the time unless I gave it gas and held it there for awhile. Other then that it would run pretty good.

Recently I have been taking it on long drives and it started bucking and jerking when I accelerated, (more like when I kind of backed off the gas pedal a little) idleing lower, smelling raw and partially burnt gas (had to keep the windows rolled up) so I took it into a small shop and they replaced the

SPARK PLUGS
AIR FILTER
DISTRIBUTOR CAP
WIRES
IGNITION ROTOR
PVC VALVE and all this DIDN'T DO A THING to improve performance and I paid $200.

It got more worse, this last trip I took it wasnt doing it until I drove it 100km down the road, then it started to buck and jerk and different speeds, so I continually had to accelerate and let go of the gas to prevent the jerking as much as possible. When I stopp at red lights my car idles around 400/500 and the car rumbles more. Sometimes when I put the car in reverse it alsmost stalls then picks up again. When I take off it also bucks and jerks now more then ever. Also A TON of black smoke comes out when I accelerate it when its in park out the exhaust and I only get 250/300km to a tank of gas on the highway when I used to get 750 to a tank. ITS WAY OVERFULING, running rich

So my grandpa took me to pick and part and we got 2 new throttle bodys, extra injectors, regulators, MAP sensor, PURGE sensor. We changed the throttle body once and still the same problem, changed it again and it was a little better, We hooked up a diagnostic to it and got 6 code problems all related to MAP, idle air ETC.

So we changed the MAP sensor, whole throttle body, purge solonoid, and some vacuum hoses as well (as some were melted) brought up the idle, and still having the same problem!!! My grandpa suggested that I change the computer on the car as that is his LAST option before I take it into the shop and pay a bajillion $$. Also I get a nasty smell that comes around the car like partially burnt gas also raw gas smells like its coming from the charcol canister... could it be catalictc converter??? Like I said I smell a strange smell most of the time when the car is hotter around the middle area more... I don't know!! How could we change so much and get the same stupid 6 or 7 codes?

Codes are 13, 25, 51, 23, 11 and 24. It can't be running lean, it's running rich!

I really need some answers here if possible. This car is great, looks great, and engine is still in great condition, we just can't find this particular problem!

Can anyone please help!!!

Well, just took in into the shop and pulled out the catalitic converter and replaced it with a just a plain old jumper pump. (I can do that in my province) Also replaced the oxygen sensor

The car seemed to run a little better and didn't miss as much (for now) The exhaust ran a little louder than usual, but that's not a problem.

Still though it's not the greatest. What more can possibly be done to fix this sucker? Head casket...

Someone here has got to know something with all the info I have givin....

Okay, here is more information!

I just noticed in the last month and a half I have had to fill the antifreeze too many times. It took 2 whole bottles and when I look in the resevior it's always empty after a week.

Does this sound like a headgasket leak or cracked head at all????

sounds like it could be a crack or leak but is almost sounds like your transmission is quiting on you. I dont know why the shop wouldn't catch that though. a leak is fairly likely so I'd check that soon.
