What touch up paint to buy?

I have a 1999 Buick Regal GS that is 2 tone white and what seems to me to be gold.

I need to buy touch up paint for the gold. I looked on my trunk lid and found what napa told me is the paint code for the white that started with a U. But I didn't see a paint number for the gold.

How would I find the paint code for the gold? Was there more than one shade of gold for the 1999 regal gs?

Re: What touch up paint to buy?

Usually a three or four digits and start with a WA, such as WA9795 or without WA such as 9795. If the vehicle is two-tone there will be an “L” (for lower) or a “U” (for upper) before the numbers. Example: WA U-7154 or WA L-348D. GM usually lists two codes on every vehicle. There is usually a two digit code, such as 26.

Re: What touch up paint to buy?

I looked on the trunk lid again and there is no lower paint code. The car has a salvage title, so maybe they replaced the trunk with one from a regal that was all white, Idk.

If I got the lower paint code off of a regal the same year and color, would the paint come close enough to matching?

Thanks

Re: What touch up paint to buy?

For the '97 and up Regal GS with what appears to be two tone paint there is no lower body color paint code which will be listed on the SPID label. Reason is the lower body is not actually painted. The items on your Regal that are in gold trim are the plastic panels on the 4 doors, the small panel at the lower front fender, the front and rear bumper covers. For example if you remove the gold panels on the doors you will see the base color which is white in your case. My Regal GS had the silver trim and the base color was black.

You can get the trim paint code (GM RPO code) from the VIN number via the GM dealership or maybe from one of our forum members.

Re: What touch up paint to buy?

Also, try Duplicolor. See link. I recall they listed the manufacturer's paint codes. But right now the EStore part is down for maintenance.
