99 grand cherokee brakes

Have a 99 grand cherokee lorado, want to replace the front brakes. Anyone know what size tool I need to remove the calipiers. Looks like a allen head or a torx. Would like to get the right tool before I start the project.

Re: 99 grand cherokee brakes

Are you sure it's a torx or allen and not a hex bolt- should be a 13mm wrench.

I'm not sure about the WJ's - maybe the switched them.

But if it was an allen - it should be a 3/8" allen or a 50T or 55T Torx bit.

Re: 99 grand cherokee brakes

hey!!!! I saw your post and the picture with the HID Lights. I put same lights shape on my '93 but with regular H1 bulbs(no HID), and I don't like them, they are not that bright. I bought them from XTRALIGHTS.COM. Did you get them from the same site? are they bright(iluminate the road well)?you can reply to [email protected]. thank you.

Smile Re: 99 grand cherokee brakes

my 2000 grand cherokee limited uses 10 mm bolts on the calipers, and 15 mm bolts on the bracket for the calipers. hope this helps.
