Think I Finally KO'd the TUrbo

Me and my buddy who has a 09 Benz 4matic were messing around tearing up the streets. He knows I would kill him but we were giving it just having some fun seeing how much separation I could make from him. He had his 11yo son with him (we were on the way to hockey) who absolutely loves my car. So I took him for a ride (put my racing helmet on and everything haha. Launched brought it through second he was loving it. Heard a scraping noise. THen went to do another launch using the launch control. Normally I can get between 8-10psi. And the turbo was only making like 3. And then When I drove it home it was only making 20psi when It normally makes 25. SO its gone. Oh yea and its burning oil now too.

Well that sucks, that turbo is not that old either. Why not run a holset turbo? It would be alot cheaper than the hta.

Re: Think I Finally KO'd the TUrbo

ya turbo is pretty new. Only like a year and a little bit old. But I did pound the shit out of it pretty much as hard as it would go. I basically tried to run it without the wastegate haha.

I just like fp turbos! And I really do think the HTA technology is the best on the market right now and that turbo makes exactly what I want. I think I'm still going to beat this turbo into a pulp. The car isn't going to come with me to School so Its going to be a while before it gets the TLC it deserves. Probably should be ready about the same time Brian's is.

Ok guys I'm still bringing my semi crippled car down to illinois.

Re: Think I Finally KO'd the TUrbo

Have you had time to check it out yet? You may not want to drive that car till you change the turbo on it. What happened to your old turbo?

Re: Think I Finally KO'd the TUrbo

Sold the evo3 16g. I drive it anways if anything came off it I'm hoping it got stuck in the intercooler. I only got like a little over a month left to enjoy my car so I just don't care I'm going to drive it like I stole it.

Did you ever make it to the track with meth on it? Other than that race you did.
