Re: 1977 monte bumper strip
I believe the name they used for those was "Impact strip" ? Sounds like you might have to check www.car-part.com ,( I see they have some whole bumper assemblies that have the part you need, you might end up finding a complete bumper with the part for a good price.) Other options include a recent copy of Hemmings Motor News, or try the National Monte Carlo owners Assoc. (here's a link to the parts page on their website: http://www.montecarloclub.com/Monte_Parts_Page.htm and their vendor page: http://www.montecarloclub.com/Specia...%20Vendors.htm . That might be your best bet going with the Monte Carlo club as they are national, have a lot of members and seem to be a good source for any parts you need.
I think I might even have an old bumper lying around my barn but I don't think it will fit as I think it's from a '73 and IIRC that will fit up to a '75, '76 and '77 are separate and interchange with one another. But a quick check of a Hollander manual will confirm interchangeability.

Re: 1977 monte bumper strip
I'll look and see what year it is. If it is '73-'75 it might not work. I don't have access to a Hollander Interchange Manual at this time so I can't check to see. If I can pull it out , I'll try to take a pic and post it in this thread and maybe you can identify and see if it looks similar.
Did you look at the parts page on that Monte site I linked to? You might be able to buy just the strip from one of the places mentioned. You might have to contact some of them to see if they have that item.
