- you should check codes with professional grade scaner there should be some pendng codes
- check your tps, map,
- disconnect O2 and test drive it
- check all the wires leading to icm (especially connector with purple and yellow wires that is from your ckp (will cut off if wire is open or loose connection)
- check your cables (make sure they are fully seated on the spark plugs and are connected in the correct order)
- test fuel pressure
- are your engine mounts OK. if there is too much engine movement on turns it can create stress on wires and pull them out from connectors

Re: 2000 grand am cuts off when turning or coasting

the car was hooked up to a professional computer and it showed nothing, also i have taken it to several shops and they have been unable to diagnose the problem, wont show code and if they drive it the car wont miss or jerk, problem comes and goes but lately has been more frequent, i will try to have the other things checked though. thanks also i put water remover in gas the other day the car seemed to run a little better still hesitating some at times but still cuts off at times ?

replace pcv valve, (easy and cheap maintenance part). They can work OK. when cold but, sometimes when heated will get stuck and create vacuum leak, engine will jerk and rpm will fluctuate up and down.

Welcome to AF !

If your trac off light was on, it has nothing to do with the O2 sensor(s).

Sounds like a speed sensor going out in one of your 4 hub bearings.
Does it do this if you push the trac off button above the radio, try if you havnt and see if the trouble goes away.

You can also manualy test the speed sensors.
- Unplug the sensor and using an ohmmeter measure the resistance. It should be around 1000-1200ohms.
If it drops way down(readings jump around) when turning the hub then that sensor is most likely going out. A typical problem on GA's.

Also wouldnt hurt to use some injector cleaner if you dont regularly use any. Helps keep the injectors from causing misfiring.

Hope that helps
