im kinda new to all this. i have a 93 civic hatch. has a d16y8 now. has hydro on it and im working on a b20v build. found a b16 cable trans and was wondering since i had hydro the first time puttin the b20v into the hatch with
a cable trans would there be anything i should kno. like if it would be harder than hydro or if theres any difference in installing this to make it work at all. any helpful info would be great. ive searched this over and over but pointless stuff that doesnt even related to this pops up. thanks |

Re: cable and hydro b16 trans
You will need to buy a conversion mount kit for it to work. Hasport.com sells them for around $180. They have some instructions for it on their site as well: http://www.hasport.com/tech/installs/EGBCC.pdf
Honestly though, it'd be a lot easier to just use a hydraulic transmission instead. You could probably sell your cable transmission, add that to the $180 you would spend on the conversion kit, and just buy a hydraulic B-series transmission. |

Re: cable and hydro b16 trans
yup i agree. You should just get a hydro trans, I would not ever try to use a cable trans for a eg. just get a b16 or gsr that is hydro alot better and will save you a headache. Dont get me wrong though cable trans are great, but if their in a ef. You can try www.jshmotors.com for a tranny, they have really good deals. I got my jdm b16a lsd for a good price.
