That is part of the recall that Ford put on the Focus...2000 and 2001 Focus have electrical issues...I'd go to the dealership and get them to check if the recalls have been done.

If not, it doesn't matter if the car is out of warranty or if it's been souped up...they'll fix it for free.

But honestly, you're best to get rid of it and if you like the Focus and tuning them up, buy a used '02 or '03 model with the Zetec engine. More initial power, fail-safe cooling system, and no recalls at all.

You'll have better success with it.

My focus is already equipped with the 2.o liter zetec engine. It is a special edition se. so i dont think power is gonna be a problem.

Re: Dose Nebody Else Have Electrical Problems?!!

I have a 2005 Focus and I have had nothing but electrical problems with my car. First the air bag module went out and the wiring in the car was not grounded... next a fuse caught fire and blew out my fuel pump and just this past week my key got stuck in my ignition and the mechanic said it is another electrical issue with wires not being grounded but even the Ford Motor Technicians on the hotline cannot figure out what is wrong with the car. And best of all now the car won't even start!! Wish I would have never gotten rid of my escort...

That's why crank windows rock j/k
It could be a few things, probably a bad window motor, loose ground, crappy wiring to the motor, or even the actual window mechanism.
It's hard to diagnose without anymore description, so some more description could help find a problem.
