2003 cvpi tranny code ?

Hi All, I have an 03 that I need to switch out and the junk yards are asking for the code on the orig tranny. Is this something easily accessible? I tried giving the single code from the door but that did not cut it. Any suggestions? Can it be determined by vin? Thank you

It should be on a push on tag on a tab on the transmission. Not positive which side it is on though. You can see it from under the car. It is about a 3X3 or so tag. PM me the VIN and I will see what Ford Fleet has to say about it.

Re: 2003 cvpi tranny code ?

So here's the code listings. The 03 I have is a 3w7p-7000-EA. Do you believe there would be any issues installing a "DA" or "CA" as I'm told there's not a lot of "EA"s around?

3W7P-7000-AA Civ New style shifter linkage
3W7P-7000-BA Civ New style shift quadrant, New planetary gear ratios

3W7P-7000-DA HPP New style valve body casting, New smaller diameter tailshaft housing bushing

3W7P-7000-CA Police New higher impedance tcc solenoid
3W7P-7000-EA Police New style bulkhead connector
New style MLPS sensor

2W3P-7000-AA Marauder

I don't really think there will be any problems with installing any of them. The Marauder should be really close to the same.
