00 Monte LS trans work question

I'm having the hard shifting problem with my 2000 Monte LS. I've read a lot about this and a lot of things say changing the pressure control solenoid in the trans can sometimes fix it.

So lets say I get the side cover off the trans. Where do I go from there to change the solenoid? Will I have to take more stuff apart or is it just right in there somewhere? Any details from someone who has worked on this before would be great.... I just want to know what I'm getting myself into. Thank you!

Please avoid starting multiple threads on the same topic. It uses server resources unnecessarily and other members often find this practice annoying.

Your other thread in the Monte Carlo section is the appropriate place for this topic.
