97 blazer gauges light up 30 secs after key is turned on

97 blazer 4*4 4.3l w 250000 miles. one day i tried starting truck and noticed gauges dark, and car wont start. then after about 30-40secs gauges lit up and i heard clicking in glove box. car started. changed 3 relays in glove box. did not solve problem. now i turn key on, wait for gauges to light up and then start car. one day they may not light up. i am thinking ignition switch or all purpose switch. am i right, which switch is it, or could it be something completely differenf?

ps i changed both switches about 3 yrs ago.

97 is a bad year on ign switches.
When no start or no gauges check ign all switch power feeds.

1997 Blazer are known for bad ignition switches? I would think that after 250,000 miles the switch held up pretty good. But I agree the Ignition switch is most likely the problem.
