http://doctorspeed.com/grand_am/grand-am-intakes.html
(Its at the very bottom of the page)

Will this new cold air intake box be worth 160 bucks if im looking for a quick upgrade for my car that is easy to install for someone that has no skill what so ever with cars?

Re: Doctor speed- new cold air intake box

I would reccomend just getting the Stage 2 intake. The cold air box is esentially the same thing, except with a heat shield to prevent heat soak, but this would only reduce intake air temperature by about 20% of what it normally would be. I don't believe the extra 40 bucks is worth just that box. I have a short ram / WAI setup like the Stage 2, and I made my own "cold air box" just out of some scrap sheet metal. If I were you, I would deffinately reccomend just getting the stage 2. You'll get good gains in the upper RPMs, good off-the-line response, a little bit better mileage, and it will sound mean as hell when you get on it . It's easy to install to. You shouldn't have much trouble at all with it.

Re: Doctor speed- new cold air intake box

Welcome to AF Menace 21 !!

I dont even know if doctorspeeds site is still up.

Since you have the V6 you can find a 2-3 stage many places for many prices.
You can search ebay they sell several models, chromeintakes are the cheapest(inexpensive). They are all virualy the same CAI just vary in cost and color of the silicone boots.

Here are a few sites that might also have them, but cost more;

http://milzymotorsports.com/
http://partsforyourcar.com/
http://www.mpracing.org/store/

Their are also many more sites in this thread for a lot of different parts.

Hope that helps.
