03 spring strut assembly help
Ive got an 03 taurus and when i was replacing the brakes yesterday i noticed that the springs and struts were bad so i was wondering how hard it is to replace them? and if anyone could give me advice on like a how to.... that would be great!
I was looking at it and it looks fairly easy to do but i didn't know if there were any tricky bolts or nuts. Thanks |

Re: 03 spring strut assembly help
Front or rear??????
Monroe Quick Struts are the easiest as they are preassembled and ready to bolt on. |

Re: 03 spring strut assembly help
How did you determine they are bad? Are they leaking?

Re: 03 spring strut assembly help
yeah there in the front.... yeah i went ahead and got the pre assembled shock and strut unit.
And to tell if they were bad they had a little leakage coming out plus they are still the oem ones and the car has over 130k miles... plus it bounces like crazy up and down in the front. |

Re: 03 spring strut assembly help
The reason I asked is because I don't often see bad OEM struts on Fords. But, after 130k miles, it's not too unreasonable.
