Left front Turn Signal
I recently purchased a used 98 intrigue. The left front turn signal light was out and so I simply replaced it and everything was fine. A few days later, that one burned out...so I went to replace it and it worked...then I realized that I didn't replace it at all and just put the same bulb back in. But it worked. A few days later it happened again so I lathered on some dielectric grease and all was well. The next day it stopped working again. Now it is working
What's up with it? I don't want to have to buy a new socket if that isn't that problem. So, anyone have any ideas? Thank you

That is a common issue for a lot of GM vehicles. I had the same problem when I bought mine. You can try to use a small file to clean up the contacts, however you probably will need to replace the socket...

Re: Left front Turn Signal
That's what I was expecting and am fine with that. I was just concerned that maybe it wasn't a socket problem and didn't want to spend the money on a new socket if this wasn't the case. Here's where I show my ignorance (if I haven't already): Do I have to buy the exact same type of socket or can I buy a different one and strip the wires to hook it up? I ask that because I hear that these are hard to find.

I would not be sure if any other one would work. The headlight bucket is different from others that I have seen.
One suggestion when you get your new one, put some bulb grease in the socket. I would also recomment looking at the other one to see if that is bad, they all will go bad eventually. I believe it is due to the dtrl feature and the high wattage of the bulb.
