how do you paint metal?
i have a turbo i stripped off a nissan and i have cleaned it of all its caked on carbon so now its time to paint. i have some black high temp spray paint called engine enamel, i used it on a small peice(the oil flange) and it just rolls off and looks like crap. how do people get metal to look good spray painted?

You will need an adhesion promoter, I would assume. Then put primer over that... but don't know if it's necessary.

thats alot of heat for your normal can of paint to stay on there..

so you want to paint ehhh
well you have to clean it that is the first step, since you are dealing with meatal i would highly recamend a fine steel wool or a dremel. after you clean it hit it with some paint thiner and then wash it off or clean it off. then you must primer, i would use a rustoleum metal primer, and then you can paint, usualy do 2-3 coats at least and then clear coat to protect the shiat
