I know!! Lately I've been wondering if those registering are actually individual people and not someone just registering different names. That would be pretty stupid!

I noticed it too. I post quite often and I give my feedback on pretty much everything here so I'm doing my part. There should be some filter to get rid of people who don't have more than a certain number of posts. I think that there are only 200 actual members here that come at least 3 times a week.

Just to add to what Porsche said. I don't think it should look into how many posts. I think a better suggestion would be in the profile section. Seeing as how everyone who registers generally tends to put something as opposed to nothing. Even a screen name could be considered an active member. I know some people don't want to fill out that section but, then the posts could come into play.

Thumbs up

I was thinking that some of them might not be as handy with their PC's as most of us seem to be . . . mayhaps they are feeling intimidated . . .

Ok, guys let me explain it

All the new members you see are actually "real people" because I can see their IPs, and they're all different. The same goes to emails, but they can be faked, IPs cant be

ALL FORUMS IN GENERAL have many people with 0 posts, AF is just not an exception, and I actually think we have an above average % of people who have actually posted comparing to other message boards on the web.

Any questions?

If people want to only post once a month or less, let them. Maybe they dont feel like they have anything to contribute. As soon as there are "posting" requirements to being able to come here, the whole board will collapse in on itself like a black hole.

Igor is right. You go to any forum and you'll find that there are far more members than there are avtive posters. People just join up when they find a forum and then either forget about it or don't bother coming back. I've done it myself.

Its proably better than a load of idiots coming in here posting shit.

There are lots of members who seem to stay in their prefered forum. The Infinity forum must take up loads of them.

As you said it's a shame that with so many here it only seems to be a few that post.
If you look around there are lots of just one post people who must just log in with one question and either forget or dont come back.

As with the infinity/G20 forum...this is a good example where someone only comes to ask one question, gets a answer and does not come back for some reason.

Myself....i love it here, fills in my day and i get to meet all sorts of people ...lol.

But i guess its hard to try and police and get people to stay....at least people find it i guess on the WWW there must be plenty of others ??

I'm fairly new here, aug 1st i think, and i'm gonna agree with you. Since ive started posting you guys and a few other people are the only ones i ever see with posts. I thought myself that i would come here every so often read something and ocasionally post, and just stick to my j-body site. But i find myself here everyday 3-4 times a day even. I've definately made a switch. I agree with primera man, i've already met some really cool people here and hope to meet more. great place to be i say.

Hmm, not everyone is like PrimeraMan!

I spend quite a bit of time on these forums, and the number of posts, IMO, is "quite adaquate" for the day's reading
