93 lt1

I own a 93 Z28 with the above mentioned engine AOD tranny the car is bone stock now with 171xxx miles on it runs great small exh. leak wondering what headers you guys would recommend and maybe later in its life it may get a head and cam swap if you guys and gals could recommend one for a decent price this guy in an engine shop up the road from me priced me a LT4 cam for 290 and change and dart pro 1 heads for 675 a piece plus freight wondering if thats decent pricing or a good setup i want to make this car almost not street drivable.

just wanting some insight before i make some stupid purchases.

thanks in advance!!!

Re: 93 lt1

As far as headers, what style are you looking for? Assuming you are getting rid of your emissions stuff, the best bang-for-the-buck longtubes are Pacesetters. Just make sure you get the ceramic coated ones.

As far as the cam, I was personally never a fan of the LT4 cam, hotcam or not. You can find off-the-shelf grinds with better gains and just as 'streetable' for a lower price.

You will definitely need valvetrain upgrades as well, with springs and rockers that can handle the extra lift and such.
