Re: Moving van vs my car

I'd say its pretty bad. The whole drivers side of my car is useless.\
I was parked on the street and the moving van rubbed up against my car and then when the guy realized because I was screaming at him ( I was outside) he backed up straight rubbing his wheel across my door and bending all my panels and ripping shit off. Door barely closes and needless to say the mirror is gone and other stuff is bad.

Re: Moving van vs my car

Worst part is I was about 5 minutes away from leaving to go to the race track. My bud and his girlfriend were already at my house and we were just getting are stuff together to go.

Rear quarter panel has a scratch in about 2 ft

Rear quarter panel angle showing huge dent and scraped and broken guard.

Driver side front quarter panel (great rack eh )

Hood AND quarterpanel not pictured the black piece underneath ripped up too. Hood is bent too.

Now the really good stuff

Mirror (or should I say lack there of) and Apillar

That will just buff right out

Door destroyed and bent in

nice eh!

Thats about it

How much you think this is gonna cost to get it done back to primo? Not like I'm paying but what a pain in the ass

that would be correct
he said since we were on a hill he wasn't "backing up" so much as he put the car in neutral and it "rolled"

Re: Moving van vs my car

...some chewing gum, and can or red spray paint and a pops-a-dent should take care of it... damn man, i truely enjoy how you still manage to appreciate her rack, even if its in the reflection of your jacked up front fender... lol, none the less, pick your place of repair wisely! and dont take any sh*t from either the shop, or the insurance company... you deserve to have your car repaired right, and to be treated with respect in the process. they will cut as many corners as possible to get it done for as cheap as possible if you let them! so DONT!

Re: Moving van vs my car

Yea I gotta make sure the repair bill isn't worth more than the car. Also you think I should get the whole car painted?

Re: Moving van vs my car

Atleast 1,500. And judging by the condition of the rest of the paint (heavy swirl marks), I'd go ahead and repaint the whole thing. Won't make much sense to have one side 12 year old paint and one side fresh. And yes please make sure you take it to a reputable shop where you have seen them fix heavy damage. There is nothing that kills me more than a nice car with shitty paint/and even worse over shitty body work. I just hate seeing what could be a beautiful car with wavy panels.
