I have a 91 voyager with a 2.5 engine and 3 speed trans. The question i have is how would or can i free up a frozen kickdown linkage on this thing?I disconected it for now as if i had it hooked up the gas pedal is really hard and it will make the van go to nuetral if i press the pedal really hard.I would drive like this but i really have no acceleration as the trans shifts faster because of it not being hooked up.Please let me know if there is a way to free it up.I have it soaking with wd-40 right now. Thanks

My sister has a 92 Sundance that did the same thing, I tore it all apart, got it free, oiled it up good, and after a couple of months, it had frozen up again. Luckily she does not drive much, so does not complain about it, but I know its not right. Soak it down a few more times and try to work it back and forth, it will eventually free up, just make sure to spray it down once a month or so or it will freeze back up. |

Just got in and i did the same thing.I pulled off the lever and noticed a bunch of rust.I spayed some carb cleaner and wiped it off then sprayed with wd-40,put a cresent wrench on it and it freed right up.Lets see how long itll be till it freezes again.ps ill be driving it every day.Probably froze up since its been sitting since December 08
