Finished: 1957 Ferrari 250 GT Pininfarina Cabriolet

Another "small" scale build I finished last week. This was a restoration of sorts - I completely disassembled, stripped and re-built an old and rare AMR kit in 1/43 scale. Few mods and additions here and there, notably - re-scribed the panel lines, re-fitted the chassis, new, completely detailed interior, leather boot for the shifter, gauge rings, new decals and badges, foil on grille opening and hood scoop, new wipers, new photoetched badges and emblems, polished and brightened all chrome.
Hope you like it!

And a "little" Ferrari meet:

Thanks!

You hope Alex?
Yes I like them so much , very well done. Finishes will easily taken for 1/24.
Impressive how the TR looks small (or on the other hand how others seems huge)

Re: Finished: 1957 Ferrari 250 GT Pininfarina Cabriolet

Well, TRs were smaller than most road going cars, simply because they were racers. Especially if you compare them to 365 California! But I think that these old AMR kits are slightly bigger (just a tad) than 1/43 scale, and this is also why TR looks a bit smaller than both AMRs.
Thanks!

Terrific work, I think it's even harder to do such a beautiful job in smaller scale!

Outstanding collection you have there. That must look fantastic on your shelf.

BTW, great work as usual and the photography is once again - tip-top.

Thanks guys.
These are not for my shelf though Robert.
I built these for somebody else.

Re: Finished: 1957 Ferrari 250 GT Pininfarina Cabriolet

Your turning into the 1/43rd master!!! That 365 California is a long car, one of the longest wheelbase Ferrari's of the 1960's. I have seen 2 of them in real life and was amazed at the size. Great work on the 250 Cabriolet. Hope we see a 1/24th version model of it soon!

You have some beautiful classic Ferraris there man. I love all 3. Look like BBR kits.
