Now the transmission is slipping.
When going from 1st to 2nd gear kinda fast, the transmision will just go to what feels like Neutral until I let up on the gas, or if it does upshift, it's after 5 seconds and then it's VERY harsh.
I just flushed the transmission and cleaned the fuel system (cause i never did that) in hopes to fix it, but no dice. It's dirveable, but kinda scared right now. It's my only car and I have NO other way to get to work, seriously.

Re: Now the transmission is slipping.
You can try manually shifting to see if the shift is more normal. Manual shifting forces higher line pressure, so any hanging clutch or band servos will operate more quickly.
The band operates in reverse, second, and OD. If reverse and OD engage normally, the problem is not likely the band or band servo. I say not likely because the second range servo is separate from the OD servo. You can also try a manual second gear start. If the trans locks in second normally and doesn't slip while driving, the second range clutches and band are probably O.K. Scan for trans trouble codes. If there are none, the problem is not likely electrical (not a solenoid).

Re: Now the transmission is slipping.
I tried manual shifting, and it worked wonderful, absolutely great, no slippage. Tried a 2nd gear start, and it was good, even felt extremely responsive to throttle, like a real manual transmission. Then, when shifting into D to not upset the drivers behind me, it lagged for a second and caught it. So manual was good...
Don't have the scanner with me to check codes. But one reoccuring code is pressure switch manifold.

Re: Now the transmission is slipping.
I'd start looking into the pressure transducer array and solenoids. The pressure transducer is notorious for accumulating debris and particles, and sticking or failing to read pressure accurately. You'll have to drop the pan to remove and clean the transducers and ports, and maybe replace the transducer.

BE CAREFUL when putting the pan back on - there are two solenoids that look the same at the back of the valve body, close to the pan rail and it's easy to knock one of those wires off and if you do, the transmission will not shift right at all. Don't ask me how I know this.

Re: Now the transmission is slipping.
Right. Drop the pan and the filter, and the pressure sensor will be staring you right in the face. Don't mix up the bolt lengths, and torque them to 95-100 in/lb.

Re: Now the transmission is slipping.
Since I was at AutoZone today waiting to get my core charge for my old alternator, for 30 FREAKIN minutes, I decided to get lucas transmission medic stuff. And damned if I am, it actually worked, the tranny is shifting better than it ever has, right away, not hard, soft, but right..
Not to mention my ride home sucked though, litterally, I had to detor, a detor, OF a a freakin detor.... So I got home like an hour later than usual. BS!! I'm getting sick of commuting.. I bet my car is too.

Re: Now the transmission is slipping.
yeah... i bought a bottle of that lucas stuff because my trans started to lip shifting into 2nd... it made the problem go away for a little while. i wouldnt make a habit of using it. i just used it because i paid $100 for the car and i figured the trans was f*cked anyway so i would give it a try, i dont rely on my car for daily transport, and when the slip came back it was much worse
