PSD not working
Since today (after 3 weeks not driving) my PSD seems to be having issues.
I checked the fuses, reset the door, but nothing working. I had it before once, that the door didn't work. But you then could hear the clicking sound. When I press the button or pull the door handle it doesn't make any sound. Even the door alarm doesn't make a sound. Anybody have an idea what to look for. thanks |

Check you don't have the power sliding door override switch turned ON. (overhead console) The door buzzing alarm only works if the door isn't locked closed and you engage the transmission. If the override switch is OFF and the door won't work, pull the inspection panel door from the right rear panel and test for power with the door switch activated. Once the door works correctly, use a can of electrical contact cleaner and spray all the door and door post contacts AND pull back the rubber cover from the interior lights switch on the rear door frame and spray some into the light switch. Replace the rubber boot to help keep the switch clean.

Re: PSD not working
Door is closed (can be opened manually) Turned switch on and off but no changes. Also I can remember that the clicking sound from the door worked even when the switch was on. I can leave the door open, and move into the D, but no buzzer.
I checked for power on the black box in the rear right panel of the car, and it has power on it. |

When the lockout switch is ON, the door can be worked manually. You may have to lower the overhead console (It may have two screws to remove before prying it out of the headliner). Check the override switch for continuity. Is the child proof door lock engaged? It's the one on the leading edge of the door. One last thing, the module in the rear panel stores a code that can be scanned. My manual says it can be read but not how to do it.
