I had driven my car approximately 60 miles the day it started doing this. I was driving down the road and it just stalled out. When I started it back up it seemed to run just fine... But stalled right back out. I can keep it running for only so long but as soon as you put it in drive it stalls. We have replaced the spark plugs, wires, fuel filter, pump and the fuel pressure regulator. STILL no luck... =( I am about to go crazy!! PLEASE... HELP ME!!!

Re: Please help me with my 97 grand prix!!!!
Do any lights come on when it stalles out? (ie "TCS OFF"?)
Can you keep it running by giving it gas?

Re: Please help me with my 97 grand prix!!!!
This sounds to me like the crank position sensor is going or has gone bad. The key here is the fact that after it stalls it starts back up. When the sensor starts to go bad it usually will not set a CEL so it can be hard to diagnose. I would change the sensor and it should remedy the stalling issue.

Thanks to all who posted!! BUT... THANK GOD- we have found what was wrong with my car. It ended up being the fuel pump resistor. We had to bypass that and it is running just fine now!! Once again though- thank you to all who posted. All of your ideas were helpful!
