Initial D FD3S (first version) -complete

Everyone needs a yellow FD3S for their collection. Fujimi wipers really suck, however. I blame the crappy fujimi wipers for a blemish I made on the bonnet trying to get the damn things to not look stupid. I did this kit in a week, ribbon seatbelts, flocked carpet interior. I should have clear-coated over the decals and then polished but was lazy and polished the paint and then applied decals. It isn't as shiny as I'd like it, the more I look at it.

It looks alright, but somehow I feel that if I really wanted it to look cool I would have stolen the decals and modified a tamiya R-1. :/

Nice work! Haven't started mine either. Are those the kit wheels? They sure look funky

You forgot to sand the mold lines. Overall a nice job.

Looks like the Mazdaspeed MS-02's. I think Fuijimi originally used them on the A-Spec RX-7 kit. Definitely a unique design.

Star21,
You are correct. I surfed a few pics and found comments in a forum that expressed my exact opinion. "looks like a space saver wheel." I want to build this kit as a rep of the D car but will have a hard time swallowing these rims. Blacked out with a yellow advisory decal. Nasty......
