ADVAN Altezza

Hi all,

Don't know if a thread has covered this, but HLJ have just got this kit in:

http://www.hlj.com/images/fuj/fuj18816box.gif

It's such a fantastic livery, and I was gonna attempt a conversion. Looks like I won't have to now, put an order in as soon as I saw it. Apparently comes with wheels, wing and the decals for this version. I suspect that Fujimi have used the road version as a base kit, so looks like an internal conversion instead.

Box art looks great, BUT

"This kit is a normal Altezza with racing markings. The rear wing, wheels, car number and some parts differ from the box photo. Body molded in red."- From HLJ

Looks like it's another "not as pictured" kit.

Hope you get what you want, because the car looks awesome!

It makes you wonder why they bother putting a picture on the front of the box at all. This is whay I haven't bought a Fujimi kit up to now. The box art always looks good and yet all I hear is bad things about the box contents.

Having bought Fujimi kits before, I am mentally prepared to expect what is not advertised on the box art. I do not mind adding to the kit, I suppose its the decal and wheels I'm really after at the end of the day.

Every characteristic such as the 5 fins added to the rear wing and the modified air outlet on the bonnet has been reproduced. Two driver figures in winner poses with both hands raised are included.

My loyalty always goes to Tamiya - never doubt!

It's just that Fujimi churn out different variants of cars more often than the others. I suppose you've got to admire them in that sense
