Shifter cable adjustment
I am working on a 1st gen Dodge Neon (not quite sure of the year) and I replaced the Shifter cable because it broke, does anyone know how to adjust the cable, cannot get the tranny to go into park - I have to slam it forward for it to go into park or else I cannot start it.

Re: Shifter cable adjustment
i believe you adjust it on the transmission under the passing gear lever the gear position lever is. if you loosen the bolt you can turn the lever to adjust it. not 100% sure though.

Re: Shifter cable adjustment
I would drip some ATF onto the point where the shifter rod enters the tranny too. It may have gotten corroded and is stiff.

Re: Shifter cable adjustment
