Boro-boro nissan skyline KPGC10 GTR

some quick builds, since I AM SO LAZY TO PAINT (some glossy finishes)!!!!
this build will be finish with rust holes, dents and scratches. basically a junk rust bucket of a kpgc10 race GTR awaiting restoration, and will be used for a diorama
interior already finish. plain black. boring. bleh....

ex. only sanded, but i already strated putting some scratches, rust holes and rust eaten panel. pics to follow

and the other "model" im working on, a die cast ae86 from hotworks:

chin from fujimi ae86:

to be color matched with the rest of the body

Re: Boro-boro nissan skyline KPGC10 GTR

i got the effect i wanted, bubbled paint on the bottom of the car, simulating rust under the paint.(as with my 1:1 project corolla) this will be painted another layer of final color, different colored hood/trunk and panle, scrtahces and rust

Re: Boro-boro nissan skyline KPGC10 GTR

here's some progress. yellow base color

another update. base color, base rust and some details finished. around 80-85% complete now. also as with true ghetto bodyshop work, some bare metal sheets are also attached to replaced rusted out parts. :

two!

three!!

and more!

things to do:
add a little more black wash to the rust(too red/brown at the moment because of camera settings.) and finally finish it (at last to finish a kit!!)

Re: Boro-boro nissan skyline KPGC10 GTR

now its a boro-boro racecar!!!
now for those asking wtf is boro-boro, boro boro is a bit of bosozoku in a different level.
Quote:
"boro boro" denotes cars that look sort of thrown together and beat up, low budget drifters/racers. It sort of seems like a melding of shakotan, bosozoku, and just "crappy". I'm not sure if the vinyl-wrapped cars are really a part of the genre in Japan, but I sort of feel like it's the same idea.
I made this thread because I feel like it's an offshoot of the "rusty hood" idea, but that's more of a euro thing.
I like the style because:
A.) It looks scary as shxt. Mad Max Deathmobiles FTW.
B.) It's super cheap to do, so you can just sort of have fun with it and not worry about "doing it right", which is nice once in awhile
.
like these cars(but these are "mild" boro, ive seen some "extreme boro cars and scary like madmax):

the skyline is now around 95% complete, swapped the front wheels for some work super fins looking rims and AMG with slicks in the rear.

just a litlle more....

Re: Boro-boro nissan skyline KPGC10 GTR

its more like hustlin the street and circuit for a decade (or more) and the owner didnt give time to fix the body. let it the way it be.

Pare, That looks super badass. I've seen that kinda of "beat up" looking tuning before...The "mild boro" is where id probably stop..LOL, the extreme ones are just, too wild! Mukhang puede na ipa kilo yan!

Oh yeah, I just bought this old school 4dr skyline kit, same one as this one that you have:
