Koenig Lamborghini Diablo
Everyone,
My latest project is this piece-of-something-else Fujimi Lambo Diablo modified by Koenig. I've never seen one completed, so when Squadron had them on sale for $10.63, I decided to try and build it. The kit is decent, but the door fitment is just not very good. So, this one will be displayed with open doors. Pardon the dark pictures and dust .The exterior was painted with TS-53 Deep Metallic Blue straight from can. ![]() I stripped the original plastic chrome, and used the TS-83 Metallic Silver over Gloss Black. ![]() ![]() ![]() I love the original OZ wheels, so I decided to keep that one for other project. I used wheels from Lambo Murcielago instead. ![]() ![]() Some paintings for the engine compartment. ![]() The shifter and gate were also painted using TS-83. ![]() There is black flocking there somewhere .![]() ![]() Here is the fitment problem I was talking about. The doors will never closed properly, there is another version of Diablo with closed doors which I bought for $12.63 from Squadron. So, that's the next project. ![]() ![]() I like the wingless look on Diablo. ![]() Thank you for looking, comments and critiques are encouraged. |

Re: Koenig Lamborghini Diablo
well,
great color, wheels, exhaust, panel lines, pictures. only thing is, paint looks a little thick. Otherwise, and very nice model.

Re: Koenig Lamborghini Diablo
Cool! Would you say the pics give an accurate depiction of that color (just curious)? Also, is it cleared? - looks like it could do with a bit more polishing perhaps. Fine looking automobile that!

It seems like my photo booth is not working as it should be. There is just simply not enough lighting. The color is especially hard to photographed. and I polished the heck out of this one as well, so I can only blame the lighting .I took more pics, and played around with the lighting. Let me know what you think! ![]() ![]() Thank you for the comments everyone! |

Re: Koenig Lamborghini Diablo
Wow, very nice execution !!! I don't remember the original wheel design but the choice to install the Murcielago's ones is perfect in my opinion.
Even the color, now more visible, is really nice. Robi |

Re: Koenig Lamborghini Diablo
Very clean build and awesome color choice. . . Looks great with the Murc wheels. . .
![]() You could try gluing the door window frames to the edge of the window glass to get them to snuggle down and sit flush . . I had a similar problem with one of my Diablo's and that took care of it. . .

Re: Koenig Lamborghini Diablo
Nice Diablo!
It looks stock rather than a wild Koenig special. (and all the better for it) ![]() Wonder if it is possible to get the doors to fit? |
