Gotta' pull the blower, '98 Jimmy 4.3. Tips?
I got that 'on-again-off-again' blower, with the loose part in the blower housing. Supposedly a common problem - give the housing a light knock, and the fan starts back up.
Any tips for pulling it? Links? Thanks... |

Re: Gotta' pull the blower, '98 Jimmy 4.3. Tips?
Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove VCM. Remove coolant reservoir. Remove the rear coolant reservoir mounting stud. Remove the blower motor access cover screws. Cut through the cover on "cut line" using a utility knife. Disconnect the cooling tube from the blower motor. Disconnect the electrical connector from the blower motor. Remove the blower motor mounting screws. Remove the blower motor. Install an AC Delco blower motor
and reassemble. Those are the only tips and there are no shortcuts.
