thinking about upgrading to a boxster...

so i'm having thoughts of trading my 03 srt-4 for a 00 boxster. i know the sartie is faster, but i'm going more for the total package (handling/looks). how well are these cars holding up for you guys? i don't really want to fall into huge maintenace costs. also, hows the insurance?
